ACMO is pleased to announce that we have partnered with Mohawk College to offer the RCM Exam online. The exam will be offered four times per year; in March, May, September, and November. Each exam period will run for 6 days during which the exam can be written.
Registration is now open for the May exam period which is May 15 - 21, 2021.
The registration process is a two-step one. First, you complete the RCM Exam Application and submit it to Janice Schenk at jschenk@acmo.org along with transcripts of the four ACMO courses completed (or proof of completion of the four challenge exams). Also note that to take the exam you must be an Individual Member of ACMO. For information on becoming a member follow this link.
Once you have been approved to write the exam, you will be provided with details on how to register and make payment for the exam ($265.00 plus HST) through Mohawk College. Once registered, you will be given access to the RCM Exam home page, where you will find details on how to book your exam at a date and time convenient to you sometime from May 15 to May 21. There will be two more online exam periods in 2021; in September and November.
The exam will continue to be a closed book exam, and you will have 3-1/2 hours in which to complete it. The best way to prepare for the exam is to ensure you can easily answer the chapter review questions found in each manual and by reviewing class notes you took when you completed your courses.
At this time, the Refresher Course is not yet available online, but will be available soon. We remind candidates for the RCM exam that the Refresher Course has never been intended to replace your own preparation.
